Hey Everyone.

Welcome to a new year, and a new teacher at your school. I am really looking forward to this upcoming year as it has the potential to be quite exciting. I will be teaching and posting the work for the following classes: Math 8K & 8C

A little history about me, I am from Halifax, NS, and I moved to Calgary just over five years ago. I have been teaching school since September 2000, in a variety of settings, ranging from a private school for children with learning disablities in Halifax, to most recently, Grade 5 at Beiseker Community School. Prior to earning my teaching certificate, I worked a couple of years as a teacher assistant in both school and daycare settings. However, my teaching background is not just limited to the school environment. Currently, I am a certified Red Cross First Aid Instructor-Trainer and I have been instructing a variety of first aid courses for the past 14 years. As well, I also taught swimming lessons for Red Cross and the Canadian Lifesaving Society for 10 years.

For my students: Welcome to the site that will save your gluteus maxius at home because you were sick, away, or forgot to write something down. I hope that if you have any questions and, or comments about the assignments that you will email me so I can help you.

For my parents, guardians: Welcome to this site and I hope that it will provide another means of communication for you and the school. Please feel free to check on this at anytime to verify what has been assigned and to find when assignments are due.
